These only work if it’s a landline number though.
If its a mobile number, you cant trace it on the web.
they do have cel phone web reverse traces but its like $30
Cell phone reverse lookups are only available via a paid lookup. You can find out basic results with the likes of http://www.reversecellphonelistings.com but you’ve then got to pay.
This is because cell or mobile phone numbers aren’t available freely from one source but private companies have compiled huge databases from many public records databases to give this service.
The only way you can find that kind of information out for free is with search engines and searching social networks like MySpace, Facebook and Craigslist.
So basically, if they don’t put their contact details online for everyone to see, you won’t be able to find out who they are.
The lifespan of cell phone numbers is too short, and privacy laws are too strict, to make a free reverse cell phone directory possible. It takes a lot of money and connections to compile a reliable and up-to-date database of cell phone records, so that’s why you have to pay a small fee.
It doesn’t cost much though. For about $35 you get a lifetime membership with unlimited searches. But you can also pay a one-time fee of about $10 for a one-time lookup to get the phone number records.
The one I use and really like is http://www.cellphonereverselookup.info and it lets you do a free preliminary lookup to make sure the records are available before having to pay anything. I use it a lot for my business to do background checks and also to stop annoying phone calls like you’re talking about. Take a look if you’re interested…
